OUR MISSION
Hancan Cares exists because our founder, Hansel Canady, was once that kid.
Hansel knows firsthand what it feels like when basic support is not always within reach. Hancan Cares helps children and families feel seen, supported, and confident through free professional haircuts, school and community outreach, and hands-on help for neighbors in need.
We begin in Green Bay and surrounding Wisconsin communities, building partnerships that allow us to respond wherever care is needed.
Because sometimes one act of care can change how someone sees themselves—and what they believe is possible.
WHAT WE DO

SCHOOL HAIRCUT EVENTS
We partner with local schools to provide free professional haircuts to students who may otherwise go without.
FREE HAIRCUTS FOR CHILDREN
We remove cost as a barrier so children can experience the confidence, dignity, and self-esteem that can come with a fresh haircut.
COMMUNITY CARE PROJECTS
From community events to home-repair projects and practical help, we bring people together to support children and families facing hardship.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
We partner with schools, nonprofits, businesses, barbers, stylists, tradespeople, and volunteers who share our commitment to strengthening our communities.
